Meet Development Associate Morgan Veach:
Morgan Veach is the Development Associate for the North Central Region of Canine
Companions. She is responsible for identifying, soliciting and developing community, local and regional funding sources. Morgan has over six years of non-profit experience and prior to joining Canine Companions she worked as the Manager of ODA Foundation with the Ohio
Dental Association where she oversaw the annual grant and scholarship process. She also previously worked with National Church Residences and United Way of Delaware County.
Canine Companions’ mission and impact on the lives of people with disabilities brought her to the organization. In 2016, Morgan looks forward to cultivating current relationships with funders and developing relationships with new funding partners. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, cooking vegetarian recipes and watching marathons of Netflix.

Meet Community Events Coordinator Katie Goussetis:
Katie Goussetis is the Community Events Coordinator for the North Central Region of Canine
Companions. She is responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing regional fundraising events, community events, and serves as the staff liaison for DogFest Walk ‘n Roll. Katie began her non-profit career at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio as the Family
Services Manager. Prior to joining Canine Companions, Katie spent three years working as the
Volunteer Coordinator for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Katie was drawn to the life-changing mission of Canine Companions, and is excited to be on the team! Katie is looking forward to increasing funds and awareness for Canine Companions through exciting special events, growing the national model of DogFest Walk ‘n Roll, and developing strong volunteer committees by engaging the local communities. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, cuddling with her cat, Zeus, and planning her May wedding.

Meet Public Relations Coordinator Ashley Koehler:
Ashley Koehler is the Public Relations Coordinator for the North Central Region of Canine
Companions. She has been with Canine Companions over the past five years as the development associate working in areas such as grant writing, event coordination, and donor and public relations. Her new position focuses on spreading awareness of the mission by
sharing the stories of Canine Companions’ graduates and volunteers. Ashley also contributes to
Canine Companions’ newsletters and ecommunications, as well as creates regional marketing materials and videos to share during the graduation ceremonies. Outside of Canine
Companions, Ashley is a new mom and is enjoying watching her baby learn and grow. She volunteers for various other non-profit organizations and loves spending time outdoors.

Meet Volunteer Coordinator Lori Hamlin:
Lori Hamlin is the Volunteer Coordinator for the North Central Region of Canine Companions.
She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, attended Columbus School for Girls and graduated with a BS in Zoology from the Ohio State University. She has been a longtime volunteer with several non-profits and has held several leadership roles including President, advisor, Sera Bella
Chair for Pleasure Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Event co-chair for 3 years for March of Dimes, Leaderboard assistant chair for 2 years and then chair for 2 years on the Women’s
Board at the Memorial Tournament. She currently sits on the board of Flex Academy Charter
High School in Franklinton. She is the mother of 2 teenagers, was a volunteer lacrosse coach for 4 years and a classroom aid as needed. She was also a Middle School Science Teacher in
Dublin prior to motherhood.
Lori loves working with volunteers and loves animals so this position was perfect for her. She looks forward to meeting all of North Central’s dedicated volunteers and graduates. Lori’s goal is to further spread Canine Companions’ mission by actively engaging and recruiting more volunteers in the 14 states that North Central serves.
