In case the agreement has had no impact in your country, what do you think are the reasons? Response: In Italy since many years a classification system exists based on: - Description of competence profiles for every professional level where every single job position has to be allocated; A job description of every professional profile considered by the national agreement. On this base the companies can create also other professional figures for their specific needs without bargaining with inions. We asked one of our big companies if they were interested in considering different model, including the Framework agreement, but they hesitated citing a possible difficulties and perils to the existing system. 5. What skills profiles would you like to add to the framework agreement? Should improvements be made to the two skills profiles that already exist in the agreement? If so, how? Response: It may be useful to conduct a survey on the European level on new professional profiles and to identify new short and/or medium term demands of companies opposite new market requirements or reorganization, This information can then be added to the framework agreement skills profiles. Social partners have to make sure that new classifications are acceptable at a national level otherwise this might hinder common European classification. We are currently discussing the possibility both to cancel the professional figures provided by the national agreement and to set a system based only on competence profiles defined for each professional level with equal competence figures to guarantee more flexible organization and to respond to the needs of multiple figures. It might be useful at to discuss and perhaps include a medium term professional system without description of specific professional figures at the debate on competence profiles at the SSD. 6.
