Network and Knowledge Intern PURPOSE STATEMENT Strive is leading an emerging national movement to enable communities to build the “civic infrastructure” needed to support the success of every child from cradle to career. Strive has two core objectives that will be the focus of its work in the coming years: a) developing proof point sites to validate the concept of cradle to career civic infrastructure as measured by increasing the number of student outcomes in a given community trending in the right direction over time and b) building a network and field to expedite the development of civic infrastructure and increase the “social return on investment” communities realize when investing resources in the success of children. These objectives will be accomplished through a set of concrete strategies that will be refined and improved over time. Related to the first objective, Strive will be working intensively with a select group of sites by delivering strategic assistance that meets their unique needs to launch and sustain civic infrastructure.
