CHANGES TO UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULUM FOR 2016 Members noted that the University’s change process for Cycle I undergraduate curriculum had been designed to accommodate both annual (planned) and late change requests which normally arise from enrolment issues or other unforeseen circumstances. Planned annual changes to undergraduate curriculum might occur at the unit level and/or major level and/or honours level and would need to take place, where relevant, in line with the University Policy on Changes to Units , University Policy on Changes to Approved Majors and Changes to Approved Honours specialisation. It was clarified that this might be problematic because the proposed research placement units required specific prerequisites; A member expressed concern relating to equity issues, for the zero point units, whereby there could be financial implications for some students who completed additional units via Access UWA, but not for others. RESOLVED – 51/15 to recommend to the Academic Council that the proposed new unattached electives, as set out in the agenda attachments, be approved for offering from 2016: EART3351, PHYS3043, PHYS3044, PHYS3045, PHYS3046, SVLG2001. 7.
