How do I make an appointment to meet with my counselor?
Please stop by the counseling office to fill out a counselor request form. When you request your
meeting, your counselor will send you a pass.
I need a counselor to sign a form. What should I do?
Please email your counselor directly or drop off the materials in the counseling office before
school starts.
I need a counselor recommendation. What should I do?
We request that students provide counselors with a brag sheet at least 10 business days in
advance. This will ensure that your recommendation is delivered to your school of choice in a
timely manner. Brag sheets are located on Archer’s website under the tab for “Career and
College” and “Counseling”.

How do I request my transcript?
Transcripts can be ordered in one of two ways:
1. To order your transcript for in-state colleges and universities through GaCollege411:
A. Go to www.gacollege411.org
B. Create an account (make sure that you use your full legal name and Social Security Number;
Your profile needs to be complete)
C. Go to the college planning tab
D. Go to applications and transcripts
E. Go to request and track your transcript
2. To order your transcript through Archer High School for out-of-state schools, and
scholarships:
A. Complete an order on My Payments Plus; Each transcript is $5.00.
B. Pick up your transcript(s) in the counseling office in 48 hours
What is my GPA?
Your GPA or Grade Point Average can be calculated through your GACollege411 account.
GACollege411 will calculate your HOPE GPA with only takes into account Math, Language Arts,
Science, Social Studies and Foreign Language credits. There is a generic GPA calculator located
on Archer High School’s website under the Career and College tab.
Do I have to take AP courses to meet the requirements for HOPE rigor?
Advanced Placement courses are not required to meet HOPE rigor requirements. Although
HOPE and the Zell Miller scholarships do not require AP courses, you should research
admissions requirements for each college that you are interested.
