COMMITMENTS FOR TEACHING
Instructors prepare to teach at Lay Institute during one semester and teach during the next semester (e.g.
spring/summer; summer/fall; fall/spring). Instructors should budget at least 10 hours preparation for every teaching
hour (12 teaching hours minimum = 120 preparation hours). Some courses may require more preparation. Without
CE103 and/or CE215, course preparation may increase. Preparation does not end when the teaching semester starts.
