Greek Announcements Tuesday, September 9, 2014 EXEC Presidents: Please sign the Grade Release/Non-Hazing Forms for your Fall 2014 new members and return back to your Delegate so she can bring to Panhellenic next week. Roster Changes: A “Version 2” of the chapter roster is no longer required (as described in email sent 6/20 from Oz). Any deletions to the chapter roster (including those women matched to your sorority on Sunday) should be completed by submitting the Drop/Roster Remove Form on OrgSync. If this form is not completed, then these women will remain on your roster until the OrgSync form is received. The form should be completed as soon as the drop is known and made official. Recruitment Directors: 33. Budget will be based off a recruitment by recruitment basis. It will add a 0 to the total number of girls that were signed up on the first day of rounds from the previous formal recruitment. Example: 150 girl’s $1500 budget, 245 girl’s $2450 budget. With a minimum budget of $1500 and a maximum of $3000. Each sorority must submit an itemized list of expenditures along with receipts of all purchases to the Panhellenic Advisor by September 15, 2014. A late list will result in a fine of $50.00 and $10.00 each additional day until the document is submitted. 34. Items previously owned by the chapter or chapter members can be used for recruitment but must be listed on the list of expenditures as “previously owned.” Any items purchased by the chapter or membership must be included in the list of expenditures with exact amount spent and receipt. 35. Donated services and/or materials, listed at fair market value, must be included in the recruitment budget. This rule is to prevent the solicitation of outside gifts in order to exceed the recruitment budget. Awareness Walk- Football Practice Field- Thursday, September 11-X-Period In observance of Hazing Prevention Awareness Week students, faculty, and staff will take to the streets to show UCA’s commitment to the prevention of hazing. Haze Documentary- College of Business Auditorium- Thursday, September 11- 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This compelling video addresses the national crisis of alcohol abuse and hazing on college campuses. In September 2004, Pledge Gordie Bailey died from alcohol poisoning after passing out on a couch in his fraternity house following a hazing initiation at the University of Colorado.
