Message from the Head
Dear Family
Welcome back to a brand new academic
year! The children have settled back into
school life extremely well. On Thursday
24th September we are holding our first
parent council for this year. Please drop
in and share ideas about workshops and
activities you would like to see organised
at Bruce Grove. From next week parents
and carers can come into school and
support their child’s learning in class,
from 8.55am to 9.15am. Please have a
look at the ‘Dates for your Diary’ section
for other events happening this term.

Notices
Our aim is 95% or more!!
Breakfast Club
has started and
is available from 8am -8.45am in the
downstairs hall. £1 a day. Please
see Barbara Watson.
Payments: Parents are now able
to pay for School Meals and Trips
online, alternatively you can still
come into the main reception.
Birthdays: If your child wishes to
celebrate his/her birthday or a
special event with his/her class
please send in fruit or dried fruit to
be shared with the class-no cakes or
sweets.
Packed Lunches:
A typical packed
lunch should contain sandwiches or rice
/pasta meal, pieces of fruit, yogurt and a
healthy drink. No sweets, biscuits, cakes
or crisps should form part of the packed
lunch. Gum, sweets and fizzy drinks are
not allowed in packed lunches or at any
other time!
Water: We are encouraging all
children to bring in water bottles to
keep hydrated during the day.
School Uniform
We are a uniform school. The school uniform is:
- white shirt, polo shirt or T-shirt
- red or navy blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan
- black, navy or dark grey skirt or trousers
- sensible black shoes or trainers ( no trainers with logos and bright colours, slip
ons or high heels)
The P.E. kit is a T-shirt (in house colours) , navy blue shorts and plimsolls or
trainers.
Uniforms can be purchased from Tesco Online or locally from Divine Solutions Schoolwear,
