**MATRICULATION REQUIREMENTS**
Program admission facts
PRAXIS II Test 5001
-Program applicants are required to take, but not necessarily
pass the PRAXIS II by program admission deadlines of
either March 1 or October 1
-Plan accordingly as exam is not offered every month
-Dates subject to change check website for most current
-Cost of exam is $150
-Passing score: Language Arts: 165, Math: 165; Social
Studies; 155; Science 159
-Exam repeatable at $50 per section only during testing
windows
-When sitting for the exam you will be given the option of
having the exam results sent to another institution. Be sure
and select required code to have them sent to UVU
-Attach a copy of PRAXIS registration confirmation to
your ELED Program Application
-Register and obtain study material for this exam by calling
PRAXIS at (800) 853-6773 or at
www.ets.org/praxis/ut
-Applicants who do not pass the
PRAXIS it is vital to your success that
you register for a 1 credit PRAXIS
review course – SLSS 120r
-The PRAXIS exam must be passed
prior to being issued a Student Teaching
assignment senior year.
-Applicants who pass all sections may
use PRAXIS II in lieu of ACT/SAT for
program entrance
-PRAXIS II is predominately general
education based. The following courses

-If original ACT/SAT scores are below
the outlined requirement, the Residual
ACT is available each week in the UVU

immediately upon completion of exam
