MINUTES
Attendees: Ron Oxford, Anna Silvestre, Tiffany Hernandez, Jameson Birrell, and David Babb
Absent: Rupinder Rai, Sam Avina and Andrea Picchi
Guests:

Call to Order - R. Oxford called meeting to order at 3:00 a.m.
Changes to the Agenda – None.
Introduction of guests – None.
Action Items –
a. Approval of new membership – Committee agreed to add David Babb and seek student
representation.
b. Approval of meeting schedule – Committee agreed to change meeting time to 2:30 and
find another room that would accommodate that time.
Discussion Items
a. Computer lab replacement cycle – Rooms 201, 203, and 207 due next to be replaced.
When this will take place not currently known. Huge difference in computer access for
library open lab 450.
b. Apple project – Ron Oxford explained the project to the committee. General discussion
about the project took place.
c. Campus wireless – Due to need for increased wireless for iPads campus is expanding
access points. It is believed this is currently taking place.
d. Technology/Software request form – Form is now on DTC team site and being actively
utilized.
e. DTC Projects
i. Digital signage/Lecture Capture Studio – Who is point of contact? When and
how will this technology be further developed. Concern that such an expensive
project is being under-utilized.
ii. Point of Sale System/College ID cards – Team being formed in order to address
this project. So far consists of Jody Ruble, Aimee Freitas, and Ron Oxford.
iii. Athlete Hall – Project can be cancelled per Athletic Director.
f. Accreditation – The committee discussed and decided to begin looking at the previous
self-study, mid-term report, and ACCJC standards to determine if there is any
misalignment or areas that may need to be further developed as we move towards the
creation of our next self-study. Area of Team site will house all of these documents in
one location.
g. Other –
i. Jameson Birrell, Ron Oxford, and David Babb agree to meet in lecture capture
studio and attempt to create a video tutorial using the technology in order to test
it.
ii. Need for ability to access documents for students off campus in PDF format.
Why is Google Chrome not installed on computers?
