JUNIOR / SENIOR PROM The Junior / Senior Prom is set for Saturday, April 16th. The Prom will be from 8:00 – 11:00 at the Grand Pavilion (I-35E & Market Hall, Dallas). Listen to announcements for Sales Dates and Prices !!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU MUST PAY YOUR FINES BEFORE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A TICKET! Cash only: No checks or credit cards. No fines on student record. Outside date forms are available in the Main Office and must be filled out and approved prior to ticket purchase. As always, listen carefully to announcements. No tickets will be sold at the door, and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable (your name will be placed on the back of your ticket). Flash Photography will be there for formal and candid pictures. You are free to bring your own camera, but no outside photographers are permitted. YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET AND A PICTURE ID TO ENTER THE PROM!! SENIOR CELEBRATION May 20th @ 6:30 pm in the Coliseum If you want to participate, you will sign up prior to May 15th, with me in room G-230. This gathering is semi-formal to formal and a very serious event due to the presence of parents, grandparents, and other special guests. This is a celebration of your high school achievements and future plans. Flowers will be provided. No outside flowers allowed. A professional photographer will be present, but parents are welcome to take pictures. No parents are allowed on the Coliseum floor. Guests must remain in seats. BREAKFAST & SENIOR WALK/CELEBRATION PRACTICE May 20th @ 8:00 am. The Senior Parents will be providing breakfast for you. Please be appreciative of their efforts! All Seniors must attend and attendance will be taken. After breakfast, we will have Senior Walk/Celebration practice. You must attend practice in order to participate in Senior Walk/Celebration. Tickets for Senior Walk/Celebration will be passed out after practice. SENIOR WALK/CELEBRATION AUDITIONS Auditions to perform at this year’s Senior Celebration are Tentatively set for April 29th, immediately after school in the Choir room If you are interested in performing, please begin working on audition pieces now. SENIOR PICTURES FOR SLIDE SHOW Seniors need to turn in pictures of Seniors only, involved in Athletics, Activities, competitions, etc, to Mr. Armijo. They must be in groups of 2 or more. NO Singles. Pictures must be on Flash drive or emailed. No hard copies. The Slide Show will be show at Senior Celebration. GRADUATION TICKETS Graduation Tickets will be distributed the last week of school during lunch. You must have your ID in order to pick up your tickets. **NOTE: Verizon Theater prints and bundles the tickets together. You will receive a bundle of tickets AT RANDOM. You cannot request better different seats. Handicap seating: If you are in need of handicap seating, you must email the registrar, Tammy McGuire at tammy.mcquire@gpisd.org, as soon as possible. There is a limited amount of handicap seating available. GRADUATION PRACTICE JUNE 3rd @ 1:00 – 3:30 pm: MANDATORY Practice will be at Verizon. If you do not participate in Practice – You will not be able to participate in Graduation! You must stay the WHOLE time at Practice. Work is not an excuse. The # of tickets will depend on the # of Seniors graduating. There will be a Lottery system set up for extra tickets. Details to come later. GRADUATION June 4th @ 3:00pm: The day is Finally here!!! Report to Verizon no later than 2:15 pm, in your Cap & Gown. No guests allowed backstage. Tickets will be handed out the week of Graduation. A professional photographer will be taking pictures.. Guests must stay in their seats. Inappropriate behavior will result in disciplinary actions that may result in your diploma being held. Only SGPHS approved stoles and medals are allowed to be worn during Graduation. Diplomas will be handed out immediately after the Graduation Ceremony.
