SECTION 2A - STUD BEEF CATTLE

Judging will commence 8.30 am sharp, Saturday, 30 May 2015
Entry Fee: $3.50
ENTRIES CLOSE: Fri 22nd May 2015
Prize Money: 1st $10.00; 2nd $5.00
Age of cattle will be taken as of the 27 May. All cattle entered must comply with all health requirements as stipulated by the D.P.I.
GRAND PARADE: Will be held at 2.00 p.m.
REGULATIONS
1. Judges decision shall be final.
2. Tick infected cattle will not be able to compete.
3. All cattle must be tractable.
4. All Stud Beef Cattle must be led and are required to take part in the Grand Parade.
5. ALL bulls 15 months and over MUST have a NOSE RING or NOSE GRIP. All other animals must be led with a NOSE GRIP.
6. LATE ENTRIES WILL BE CHARGED DOUBLE.
7. Any animal shown as an individual exhibit cannot be shown with its dam.
8. All cattle must have registered NLIS (National Livestock Identification System) tags to be accepted entrants - NO TAGS – NO SHOW
9. THERE ARE CLASSES FOR ALL BREEDS ON DEMAND
PLEASE NOTE: Stock Spraying will be available at the cattle section for all those animals

The following classes will be judged as "inter-breed" classes. All animals must be entered in general classes. No prize money will be
awarded but a trophy and ribbons will be awarded for the classes.
ENTRY FEE: $2.00 for Classes 9-13 only
9. Exhibitor’s Group - 3 animals, both sexes to be represented. Owned by the exhibitor 3 months prior to the entry
10. Sire's Progeny Group - Three animals, both sexes to be represented. All by one Sire and the property of the exhibitor
11. Pair of Bulls
12. Pair of Heifers
13. Cow with Calf at Foot - to be judged as an equal unit.
LED STEER COMPETITION
Please Note: The weighing of led steers will commence with those steers in the light weight class firstly, and no later than 8.00a.m. as
steer judging will commence at 8.30 sharp. Any breed or cross breed; no weight limit. Points will be allotted to the "Most Successful
Exhibitor'" awarded to the Led Steer Section. One extra point will be added if the animal is pure bred of the breed shown by the
exhibitor. No trophy will be awarded in this section.

All steers must be Milk Tooth, and will be mouthed

Handlers will be judged on their presentation of both animals and themselves and their ability to parade and control their animal.
They have the freedom to exhibit any animal they wish.
MOST SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITOR
This award will be presented to the most successful exhibitor throughout the entirety of the day in the Stud Beef Cattle Section. If two
or more exhibits are presented in each class then full points will be awarded, however, if there is only a single exhibit in a class then only
half points will be awarded.
Points Allowed: Firs t - 3pts; Second - 2pts; Third - 1pt
The overall winner at the end of the 2014 Circuit of SUPREME EXHIBIT, EUROPEAN BREED, TROPICAL BREED, BRITISH BREED AND LED
STEER will receive a personalised engraved trophy to the value of $125 generously donated by Riverina.
Supreme Champion Bull and Female will accrue points for the
“Queensland Times Supreme Champion Award”
