POST RELEASE «XIV INTERNATIONAL SKI SALON»
IN ST.-PETERSBURG
On October, 23-24th 2010y. in St.-Petersburg has passed 14-th «the International Ski salon», having
collected at restaurant "Moscow" (Alexander Nevsky's square, 2) on the area 2 500 sq.m. near 3 500
professionals and fans of mountain skis, a snowboard and other winter kinds of tourism, sports and
productive leisure. The organizer of an exhibition: «the Alpine club».
In an exhibition have taken part more than 100 companies of the mountain-skiing industry from Russia
and Europe. Leading tour operators from S.-Petersburg and Moscow have prepared new mountainskiing programs and special offers for a winter season 2010-2011 on the best mounting skiing resorts of
Russia, Austria, Andorra, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden and Norway, and also this
year on ski salon for the first time there was mountain-skiing area from Armenia and New Year's
excursion rounds have traditionally been presented to Prague, Vienna, Paris, Rome and other European
capitals. Sport shops and manufacturers of the mountain-skiing equipment have brought on an
exhibition mountain and running skis, snowboards, thermo-linen, masks from photo-video camera for
extreme shooting, cases for storage of the equipment, fashionable caps, jackets and many other things
so visitors could put on and be equipped directly at an exhibition. Mountain-skiing complexes «Zolotaia
Dolina», «Krasnoe Ozero» have taken part in «Ski salon» (Leningrad region), «Big Vudjavr» (Murmansk
ski area), mounting skiing resort Ore (Sweden), mounting skiing resorts of France: Meribel, Courchevel,
Val_d'Izer, Les Menuirs, Les Araviz, with the numerous hotels and mountain-skiing schools, have held
presentations, have distributed catalogues and cards of slopes. On October, 23rd there has passed a
business meeting for representatives of travel agencies «the Breakfast in the Alpine club» with
participation of mounting skiing resorts of Sweden, France and the Swiss company InterHoum.
After solemn opening of an exhibition and a welcoming speech of the president «Alpine club» of Irina
Golikova and performance of chief executive Mihajlova Elena, on a scene has passed the ending of
competition «Active tourist-2010» with participation paintball club "Snaker". Five finalists who have
passed selection round on a site www.skisalon.ru waited costly presents from participants of "Ski
Salon»: sport shops «Planeta Sport», "Top sport", "Kant", «Iks Sport group», "SibVej", "AktivSport",
"FotoDi", residing at a mountain-skiing complex " Puzhalova gora", the ticket from airline "Alitalia" and
to the winner of competition - to Andreev Pavel, has got the main prize - week residing for two with skipass on a mounting skiing resort "Meribel" (France). Handed over this prize Mr. Jacque dе Vidas - the
representative office tourist board of a resort of Meribel.
But not only contestants had possibility to win on «Ski salon» travel! During 2 days all visitors of an
exhibition could take part in draw from company Domina Vakantse - residing for two people within five
days in fine Venice, in the unique hotel located in a palace of the patrician of the fourteenth century.
Reception for heads of the companies-participants in a banquet private residence "Праздник" became
end of the first day of work of an exhibition - visitors were waited by refined dishes, a chocolate
fountain, the Alpine hill of champagne and the bright entertaining program with gifts from «the Alpine
club» and company Domina Vakantse.
In the second day of an exhibition on a scene has passed traditional delivery of awards from «the Alpine
