Psalm110
A Psalm of David
Psalm 110 is a royal psalm that speaks of the coming rule of Yeshua as both Priest and
King. Psalms 2 and 110 were used in coronations in Israel and we assume will be used again
for the coronation of Yeshua!
Messiah as king
1. YHWH said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand,
until I make your enemies your footstool.
2. YHWH will send the rod of your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of your enemies!
3. Your people will be willing in the day of Your power,
in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning,
You have the dew of Your youth.
David spoke of ‘my Lord’ to whom God would give a place at his right hand, while giving
him victory over all his enemies and making him a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek.
The kingdoms of the world are not yet the kingdoms of our Lord so while Yeshua is king, He
will become king is fullness one day.
Matthew 22:43–45 ‘He said to them, How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord,
saying, YHWH said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make your enemies thy
footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?’
Mark 12:36 ‘For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, YHWH said to my Lord, Sit thou on
my right hand, till I make your enemies thy footstool.’
Luke 20:42-43 ‘And David himself said in the book of Psalms, YHWH said to my Lord, Sit
on my right hand, Till I make your enemies thy footstool.’
Hebrews 1:13 ‘But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I
make Your enemies Your footstool?’
Messiah as priest
4. YHWH has sworn, and will not repent.
You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 5:6 ‘As he says also in another place, You are a priest for ever after the order of
Melchizedek.’
Hebrews 7:3,21 ‘Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning
of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abides a priest continually.’
‘You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.’
Messiah as judge and conquerer
5. YHWH at Your right hand will strike through kings in the day of His wrath.
6. He will judge among the nations!
He will fill the places with the dead bodies.
He will wound the heads over many countries.
7. He will drink of the brook in the way.
Therefore will he lift up the head!
