Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for effectively planning and managing a portfolio of
manufacturing projects from conception to handover and ensuring that that they are
completed on time, on budget and to client specification.
Key Responsibilities
 Co-ordinate and lead the planning and implementation of projects. Set up a project
plan; establish goals and co-ordinate project team.
 Work with the Project Engineer to ensure any potential risks are identified and
addressed so they do not delay a project’s schedule.
 Maintain accurate project files covering all activities.
 Chair project meetings at regular intervals and report progress to senior
management.
 Liaise with clients to report progress and milestone achievements. Maintain good
and open communication with clients to ensure excellent working relationships.
 Ensure all equipment is properly commissioned, all project documentation has been
properly prepared and the required transportation arrangements have been put in
place as per job specification.
 Conduct project reviews before closing off a project to identify any scope for
improvement for future projects.
 HSEQ – compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the
company’s management system.
 Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
 To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Limited.
Qualifications
Pre-Employment
 Proven experience in people management
 Proven experience in strategic management
 Background in engineering.
Essential
 Good communication skills with the ability to build strong, working relationships,
internal and external to the organisation.
 Excellent planning and scheduling skills.
 Ability to influence, motivate and lead a team.
 Ability to work under pressure and to adhere to deadlines.
 Logical thinking and problem solving skills.
 Self-motivated and adaptable to the needs of different clients.
 Understanding of budget control.
