Position Description Consultant Employment and Industrial Relations Livingstones Our ref: Document1 <Report Name> - Prepared by Livingstones Last Updated – July 2015 i Position Purpose Consultants will be required to develop a wide range of knowledge, skill and expertise within the area of employment law In addition to developing their professional expertise, Consultants will be required to develop project management and presentation skills. The Consultant role is a broad range, and at higher levels within the range, more experienced Consultants will begin to “specialize”. Consultants will be expected to maintain and/or grow client groups through regular business development visits and provision of a quality service. This will see their personal profiles grow over time. They are expected to play an active role in all corporate marketing activities, and to develop existing revenue streams. Consultants will assist Directors and Associate Directors with managing client relationships, product development, and knowledge management. Key Responsibilities Technical Advice • • • • • • • • Understand a wide range of employment law issues and assist in the provision of complex analysis of issues to a matter. Eg: Contest hearing Conciliation Draft Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Contracts, Policies and Procedures Prepare detailed written advice and reports on complex issues Draft complex documents and reports Assist in the negotiations of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
