Green Horse: Any horse in his first or second year of showing. Rider Age: Age as of January 1, 2013 GENERAL RULES: 1. No rider is allowed to compete without a signed Triple C release of indemnity forms on file 2. Each separate horse and rider combination will require a separate number and arena fee. 3. Triple C rules – the rules, as stated on the Triple C indemnity form, prevail over this show. Both show and/or grounds management reserves the right to excuse any horse or rider exhibiting objectionable behavior on the grounds. 4. Classes – show management reserves the right to split, combine or cancel classes. 5. Equipment and tack – breed appropriate equipment is allowed in all classes. 6. Schooling equipment – allowed only in the beginning horse classes, i.e. draw reins, martingales, etc. 7. Gate holds – limited to 3 minutes and must be requested ahead of time. 8. Attire – may be casual; the judge will not mark down for informal clothing, i.e. jeans, boots, shirt OK for all seats. 9. Required attire – boots for all classes; hard hats when riding in hunt seat attire. Approved hard hats required for riders 17 & under, at all times, both in and out of the ring when mounted. Also refer to Triple C indemnity form. 10. Refunds – show committee will review all entry fee refund requests and mail refund check, if participant is eligible. 11. Decision of the Judge is final in all classes. A signed copy of this Rules Form must be turned in prior to your first class. 2. Anyone under 18 years of age must wear an ASTM/SEI-approved equestrian safety helmet. All riders in Hunter classes are required to wear an ASTM/SEIapproved equestrian safety helmet, no exceptions. This includes the warm up arenas. 3. This is a schooling show, please feel free to use any equipment or wear any attire. All participants must wear boot with at least 1" heels. No shorts please. 4. No refund on entry fees paid without vet or physician certificate. 5. Participants must pay for all classes in full prior to the start of the show, or leave blank check with the show secretary. 6. The judges' decisions are final. If a judge or staff member decides that an animal is not fit to show, that decision will be final as well. 7. The following may be grounds for disqualification and expulsion w/out a refund: a) Unsportsmanlike conduct or behavior toward horses or humans. b) Use of severe bits or training devices c) Unruly or out-of-control horses d) Mistreatment of any horse, as determined by show staff or judges e) Exhibiting a horse that is exhausted, injured or lame 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. 18. Any disputes or problems during the show should be brought to the attention of the show manager at the registration booth. All horses that kick are required to have a RED ribbon attached to the tail that is clearly visible at ALL times. You will not be marked down in any class for this. Horses should not be tied to any arena fences or any place that would constitute a hazard. Horses may not be tied to trailers and left unattended. Snaffle bits are allowed in classes. Any horse, regardless of age, may be ridden with two hands and a ring snaffle or bosal in any of the Western classes. Tack should be discipline-appropriate. Park horse trailers in designated trailer parking area only. Spectator parking in designated area only. Keep fire lanes open at all times. No dogs allowed on the show grounds Please lunge in designated areas only. Use manure wagons to dispose of stall manure only. Pick up garbage and place in or next to dumpster. I RECOGNIZE THAT TRIPLE C ACTIVITIES MAY INVOLVE CERTAIN DANGERS. I certify that I am aware of the inherent dangers of the TRIPLE C activities, including but not limited to: rough terrain, the forces of nature, inexperience, accidents or illness in remote areas without medical facilities, the actions of other members, and participants or any other persons, of which may result in personal injury, death, property damage and other losses. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any injury that may be associated with any person whom so ever by any horses owned by, exhibited by, or handled by him and shall indemnify the afore mentioned individuals and organizations against all claims and demands of any kinds or nature that may grow out of and injury associated by any horses owned or exhibited by him or arise from the negligence of the person in charge of any such horse. The owner, driver, handler, and rider, and any other agents or representatives acknowledge that they participate voluntarily in the competition fully aware that horse sports and the competition involve inherent dangerous risk, and that by participating they expressly assume any risks of injury and loss, and they agree to hold the competition and its officials, directors, employees, or agents. All horses exhibited will be at the owners/lessee's risk. RCW 4.24.530 and RCW 4.24.540 provide that an equine activity sponsor (i.e., an individual, group or club, partnership, or corporation, whether or not the sponsor is operating for profit or nonprofit, which sponsors, organizes, or provides the facilities for an equine activity) shall not be liable for an injury to or the death of a participant engaged in an equine activity (i.e., Equine shows, fairs, competitions, performances, or parades that involve any or all breeds of equines and any of the equine disciplines), nor may he or she maintain an action against or recover from an equine activity sponsor for an injury to or the death while engaged in an equine activity. "Participant" means any person, whether amateur or professional, who directly engages in an equine activity (i.e., riding, training, driving, or being a passenger upon an equine, whether mounted or unmounted), whether or not a fee is paid to participate in the equine activity.
