With regard to available green space in Banks, a rather large open space park comprising trees, children’s
play equipment and open grassland is located one block up from the site in question, as well as Banks Oval
nearby. The site in question separates the Banks Shopping Centre carpark and residential units, and is
currently used mainly as excess parking and has become a barren dustbowl.
Development on the site is expected to comprise mixed use commercial/residential facilities. The site goes
to auction on 9 May 2013.
