HELLO ALL !!!
IT IS FUN DOING EXPERIMENT IN LABORATORY BUT IT IS MORE FUN DOING
EXPERIMENT WITH FRIENDS , WATER AND NEAR THE BANK OF A RIVER.
WE HAD LOTS OF FUN ON 30 TH MARCH 2014, WHEN WITH MY FRIENDS AND I
DID SOME WATER ACTIVITIES NEAR THE BANK OF RIVER KAVERI UNDER THE
GUIDANCE OF MY TEACHERS MS. SHRAVANI AND MS. RAJSHREE
OUR FIRST EXPERIMENT WHAT WE DID WAS THE PURIFICATION OF WATER .
WE TOOK RIVER WATER IN A BEAKER AND PASSED IT THROUGH THE FUNNEL
CONTAINING GRAVEL AND SAND TO REMOVE THE IMPURITIES LIKE GRASS ,
LEAVES AND OTHER PARTICLES ETC ETC...
AFTER THAT WE ADDED A PINCH OF ALUM AND KEPT IT FOR SOMETIME SO
THAT THE IMPURITIES SETTLE DOWN, AS WE SAW THE IMPURITIES SETTLING
DOWN WE FILTERED THE WATER IN ANOTHER BEAKER USING FILTER PAPER AND
FUNNEL.
WE GOT A CLEAN AND POTABLE WATER AS OUR FINAL RESULT.
THIS WAS THE METHOD USED IN OLDEN DAYS TO PURIFY THE WATER AS THERE
WERE NO MODERN TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME, IN THIS WAY WE
ACHIEVED AND ENJOYED AND ABOVE ALL UNDERSTOOD THE METHOD OF
WATER PURIFICATION , WHICH WE ALL DID NEAR THE BANK OF RIVER KAVERI.
WE ALSO UNDERSTOOD HOW RAIN IS FORMED AND WHY THE RAIN WATER IS
NOT SALTY BY DOING THIS ACTIVITY AS GIVEN BELOW.
WE TOOK LITTLE SALTY WATER IN A BIG BEAKER AND KEPT A SMALL EMPTY
BEAKER INSIDE THE BIGGER BEAKER AND COVERED THE MOUTH OF THE BEAKER
WITH A PLASTIC AND TIED IT WITH A RUBBER BAND. WE KEPT FEW PEBBLES
ABOVE THE PLASTIC AND KEPT THE BEAKER IN THE SUNLIGHT FOR APPROX. 1
HOUR.
AFTER AND HOUR DUE TO EVAPORATION OF THE SALTY WATER TINY DROPLETS
GATHERED ON THE INNERSIDE OF THE PLASTIC.
AFTER THIS SALTY WATER GETTING EVAPORATED COMPLETELY WE SAW THE
SALT AND OTHER IMPURITIES LYING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BEAKER. THIS
PROCESS SHOWED US AND PROVED US THAT THE RAIN WATER IS NOT SALTY,
LEAVING BEHIND ALL THE IMPURITIES AND SALT.
AFTER DOING THIS EXPERIMENT WE ALSO CHECKED THE pH VALUE OF THE
DIFFERENT LIQUIDS LIKE….. AS UNDER :pH VALUE INFERENCE LIQUID
