EDUCATION ACT – Seconded Teacher vacancies (greater than 12 months) Title of Role: PROJECT OFFICER, LEARNING IMPROVEMENT SECONDARY LEARNERS (1.0 FTE) MORE THAN ONE POSITION AVAILABLE Location: Education Office, 31 Flinders Street, ADELAIDE SA 5000 Term of Appointment: ASAP to 23/01/2019 Classification: Seconded Teacher Level 3 (Education Act) Salary: $113,381 per annum Conditions: Working conditions similar to PS Act positions Applications close: 5pm 25 February, 2016 Summary of Role The Project Officer, Learning Improvement Secondary Learners works as part of a team to provide state-wide leadership and expertise in evidence based, high quality and measureable teaching and learning improvement for learners in the secondary years. They will bring specific knowledge and expertise to the Secondary Learners team and work collaboratively to develop a comprehensive and coherent approach to improvement. The Project Officer, Learning Improvement Secondary Learners will utilise effective education practice supported by evidence agreed with the Strategic Design directorate. The Project Officer will work with leaders to design and deliver programs to lift student achievement. They will work with the Professional Practice group and leaders to deliver professional learning aimed at building consistently effective practice across sites. They will work intensively with sites requiring additional support to reach the Standard of Educational Achievement. They will work collaboratively with their colleagues within Primary Learners and across Early Years Learners and Secondary Learners directorates to build coherent approaches to improvement across the levels of education supporting strong learner transitions.
