The Leadership Carteret Professional Development Series has been designed to give current and potential leaders in Carteret County the edge for success in both their professional and personal lives. The 10-week seminar series focuses on the places, people and issues that define our County. The program graduates approximately 35 informed leaders each year who are armed with the knowledge to shape our community and steer its future growth and direction. These informed leaders have a network of other people interested in making our community a better place to live and work. There are two Tuesday events scheduled: January 12 & March 15. Applicants must have the full support of the organization or business they represent. Attendance is required at all sessions. Absences will be excused for emergencies only. In addition to the regularly scheduled Wednesday meetings, participants may be expected to spend additional time completing session assignments. Session topics include: Business & Industry, Arts & Culture, Tourism, Environmental Issues, Education, History, Military Bases, Health Care, Government, Public Safety, Local Attractions and a variety of tours.
