The Role
These are a sample of the types of companies you will be working with, and
developing solutions for, at Entity Group. Our undergraduate placement and
graduate programmes are intended to allow successful candidates to experience a
number of roles before following their ultimate career direction. Students that are
successful will be accelerated onto our graduate recruitment programme.
During your time with Entity you will work on Information Management projects for our large
enterprise clients. You can expect to be doing one or more of:
 Working within a skilled development team creating Information Management software
solutions for our customers.
 Working with an experienced business analyst helping to understand and document the
customer requirements and shaping our solutions.
 Working on visualisation of data to support data governance or enterprise information
management programmes.
 Working within a dynamic testing team producing test plans for our software and writing
automated tests to ensure its quality.
 Working within our excellent support team, reacting to customer requests, finding
resolutions to issues and proposing enhancements.
 Working with the Sales and Marketing team to support for example technical bids or proof
of concept work, under tight timescales.
Our Requirements
To apply you must:
 Be in education to graduate level or higher (or a professional equivalent) in subjects that
demonstrate a sound grasp of logic and reason.
 Have a sound grasp of computer science, including an understanding of analysis and design.
 Have the right to work in the UK.
 Be a good communicator, including written and verbal communication.
 A good listener, with the ability to grasp complex business situations.
 Have an interest in turning data into information. This includes how it is stored, how it is
manipulated, how it is managed and how it is accessed.
Entity is an Information Management consultancy and does not specialise in mobile or front-end
development. The majority of our technical work is within the context of Information Management.
Experience with databases, data quality tools, data lifecycle management, data cleansing and/or
ETL is useful. We also do application development and support in Java and .NET (generally not
greenfield developments). Practical experience in one of these technologies is also desirable for
software development roles.
Our Package
Entity will pay a competitive salary for candidates who fully match the requirements.
You will be contracted to work 35 hours per week. Holiday allowance is 25 days annually, plus UK
Bank Holidays. All work related travel and subsistence expenses will be paid.
Primary location is Kent Science Park (KSP), Sittingbourne, Kent although you may be expected to
work at other client locations in the EMEA region from time to time as required by specific projects.
Additionally, Entity has offices in Dubai, UAE and Johannesburg, South Africa.
The KSP site is accessible via road and public transport, and has various sports and social facilities,
