risk posed to workers by extreme temperature conditions seriously. Working in extreme temperature
conditions means that there is an increased health risk for workers.
Responsibilities:
Managers and Supervisors shall:
 Shall provide all workers with the information on illnesses caused by working in extreme temperature
conditions, causes, symptoms, treatment and prevention.
 Inform employees who will be working in extreme temperature conditions when a weather alert is issued.
 Monitor all workers for signs and symptoms of heat stress or cold exposure.
 Adjust workers schedules and workloads if necessary to avoid working in peak times during extreme

temperature conditions.
Address all concerns from workers and respond to all symptoms
Workers shall:
 Participate in all training and know and understand their responsibilities.
 Understand the signs and symptoms of extreme temperature illnesses and report all symptoms to their
Supervisor.
 Follow all guidelines and recommendations given by management and supervisors.
