Public Notice
This is to inform the general public that the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone as
part of its legal mandate to ensure that only good quality, safe and efficacious
medicines and other regulated products are available for use in Sierra Leone, has
undertaken an exercise to test and verify the content of many alcohol based hand
sanitizers and Clorox which are being distributed for use in Sierra Leone in order
to prevent any potential transmission of the Ebola disease.
The Board hereby informs the general public that a number of hand-sanitizers
containing alcohol and Clorox products have been tested and wishes to inform the
general public that the following have met the required criteria for use in order to
prevent any potential transmission of the Ebola diseases.
List of recommended alcohol based hand sanitizers available on the local market
that can be used in preventing any potential transmission of the Ebola disease.
