Advocacy and SupervisionThe Advocacy and Supervision Intern will gain experience in a variety of areas within a broker-dealer
setting, including data entry, review onsite follow up item and identify areas of improvement. The
Advocacy and Supervision Intern will be involved in a variety of areas such reviewing and updating the
team Sharepoint training materials site, conduct analysis of payouts for rep-advisors, focus on
development of industry specific rule book reference guide and mail mergers. This internship will offer
exposure to other departments, including Recruiting and Transition, to increase the big picture view of
the financial services industry for the intern. Great communication skills and an ability to travel on
minimum 2-day trips are essential.

Brokerage OperationsThis intern will gain valuable experience in the Operations Department at the broker-dealer level. The
Operations Intern will work specifically with our Operations Trainer to learn the basics of the Operations
process through our specific Operations Training program then enhancing the current training database
from the knowledge gain. The ideal candidate would be interested in joining the financial services
industry and must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Business DevelopmentThe Business Development Team offers a stimulating internship experience for a student who loves
problem solving, communicating with people, and developing new strategies. The Business
Development Intern will learn how to implement marketing campaigns and send and analyze targeted
messages, this allowing the intern to get a look into the nature of a recruiting profession. The Business
Development Intern would use Clickback, sendoutcards.com, and work directly with our Public Relations
and Creative Marketing Department to develop flyers, booklets, brochures, postcards, financial industry
ads, and e-marketing send and analyze targeted messages. In addition, the intern will help implement
marketing campaigns developed by Cambridge.

Commissions AnalystThe Accounting Department offers a great opportunity within the commissions team, offering an intern
experience to learn data and functions across departments (clearing with trading, assets under
management / Account data with CDW team, basic SQL with IS, PayCheque I and PayChequq II
functionality with IS & Licensing.) The Commissions intern will have ownership of tasks and
collaboration across these departments. Ideal candidates will be a self-starter, have the ability to multitask, work well within a team environment, communicate effectively and meet deadlines and have
ability to provide business analysis, basic SQL programming and user acceptance testing.

Accounting Intern- Commissions and FeeBPS
The Accounting Department offers a great opportunity within the Commissions and Fee Billing and
Processing Teams, offering an intern experience with the everyday functions of an accounting
department in the back office of a broker-dealer. In doing this, the intern will obtain a broad overview of
Accounting as a whole and expand their understanding of the Accounting team while reviewing
processes for efficiencies. Efficiency recommendations will be solicited from the intern and will be
expected as a part of their review of existing processes and procedures. In addition to reviewing existing
procedures, the intern will play a key part in the ongoing Continuous Improvement efforts within the
Accounting department including but not limited to root cause analysis, metric identification and
tracking and process mapping of processes currently under review. Ideal candidates will have completed
intermediate-level accounting courses or above, be a self-starter, have the ability to multi-task, and
work well within a team environment.

Compliance InternThe Compliance Department offers a unique opportunity that will introduce a student intern to a broad
range of financial industry concepts and ideas. Specifically, the Compliance Intern will be asked to learn
Lean techniques and gain experience researching, documenting existing processes, working with various
stakeholders both within Compliance and outside of the Compliance Department. Giving the
Compliance Intern exposure to multiple areas within Compliance will provide an industry career path
adding value immediately should they choose to work in the financial services industry.

Conferences Intern
The Conference Intern will be exposed to a variety of different areas, including conference and event
planning that will help them learn how to market to different audiences including Cambridge advisors,
recruits, and wholesalers. Primary responsibilities will include being the content owner for our event
mobile app, providing support on all aspects of Cambridge’s National Conference, Ignite, and providing
customer service to attendees. This experience will allow a student to gain knowledge in a fast-paced
event planning and marketing environment within the financial services industry. Ability to travel to our
National Conference in Chicago Illinois is ideal.

Continuous Improvement InternThe Continuous Improvement intern will be provided an in-depth opportunity to facilitate teams, use
Lean Theory and tools learned through course work and to build analytical and problem solving skills.
This opportunity will provide a hands-on experience with an organization in implementing an
Organization Lean assessment. Ideal candidate will have course work, experience or knowledge in Lean,
Six Sigma, Process Improvement, Change Management or Supply Chain.

Financial Reporting InternThe Finance Intern will gain valuable knowledge in the Cambridge Accounting Department as they assist
with the month-quarter-end close process through compilation of financial statements and
reconciliation of supporting schedules. In addition, the intern will assist in the review processes for
efficiencies and provide suggestions for improvement to management. Candidates must have
completed intermediate accounting by the start of the internship. General knowledge of financial
accounting and a desire to further knowledge of the accounting cycle is required.

Human Resources Intern
Build on classroom learning with this internship opportunity in the Human Resources Department. The
Human Resources Intern will research and develop additional campus outreach opportunities to gain
more exposure at local colleges. Projects will include contributions to company committees, planning
the all-company summer event, and working to improve The Next StepTM internship program and
enhance the HR department Sharepoint. The intern must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, and
have taken some general HR courses.

Information Systems InternThe Application Programmer Intern will be part of a software development team working on designing,
developing, and testing software features and components. Project work will include web programming
and business layer design and development. The intern will learn and use standard industry practices
such as established coding conventions, writing unit tests, participating in code reviews, and pair
programming. In addition, they will use Continuous Integration as well as participate in practices
according to the Agile/Scrum software development methodology. The intern will use various
technologies and tools from the following: C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, SQL, Visual
Studio, MS SQL Server Management Studio, TeamCity, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and others.

The IT intern will have the opportunity to work with multiple departments to gather requirements for
completing cross departmental IT projects. Over the course of the internship, the intern will create
electronic forms within on SharePoint as well as build and install new associates computers and
equipment.

Client Solutions Intern
The Client Solutions intern will gain in-depth insight into the world of a broker-dealer, join the Client
Solutions Team. The Client Solutions Intern will receive first-hand experience as to how Cambridge repadvisors interact with their clients and prospects. The intern will be given exposure to a wide variety of
investment and insurance solutions used to assist the advisor in obtaining the best client solution.

Compliance/Legal Intern
The Compliance/Legal intern will intern will be co-sponsored by both the Compliance and Legal
departments. This will be a unique internship opportunity that will provide an intern with a variety of
projects from: research and analysis of state and federal laws and self-regulatory organization rules;
drafting letters, reports, memorandums, presentations and basic contracts and data analysis and review.
Ideal candidates should be attending an ABA accredited law school as well as have a background and/or
interest in the financial industry, compliance, regulation or securities law.
