Pupil Premium Provision Map
2015
Allocated sum: £34,829
Overall aim: Increased progress & higher attainment plus increased self-esteem, behaviour and participation
There is no single intervention which provides a complete solution to narrowing the gap, or to supporting our disadvantaged
children in the way that suits them best. We try to take a range of approaches when spending Pupil Premium money that
offers a breadth of support to groups of pupils.
In addition to the Pupil Premium money, many of our school systems were already in place to support children from all
backgrounds and of all abilities. Our Pupil Progress meetings happen 6 times a year, and are an opportunity to discuss all
children in school in some depth, with regard to both their academic attainment and pastoral issues. Our assessment,
monitoring and tracking systems allow us to identify any children or groups of children who were not making sufficient
academic progress. The teaching strategies employed by staff in the school enable all children to make progress and
provided for a wide range of needs.

(Completed End of Summer Term)
Anticipated Improved social skills, confidence, behaviour and attitudes to
learning.
Actual
Incidents of unacceptable behaviour at lunchtimes have fallen. Lunchtime
supervision has been a real asset to the school in supporting vulnerable
children at lunchtimes. The children, who receive this support, do so as
required, and when it is felt that the children are more able to cope with
the routines of regular lunchtime provision they are given the opportunity
to manage routines more independently.

Details of provision
Lunchtime Provision
Some vulnerable children find lunchtimes difficult to cope with; the hall and playgrounds are very busy and sometimes noisy. Lunchtime
provision is managed by 2 TAs who share this time, and allows these vulnerable children to have access to a supportive adult to
reassure and help with the lunchtime routines.
Extra-Curricular Enhancement Activities
Some of the Pupil Premium money was used to subsidise the cost of educational visits and trips for children eligible for Pupil Premium.
In addition, some of the money was used to enable vulnerable children to participate in enrichment activities such as extra-curricular
visitors, resources for PP children’s social well being.
4 X 1:1 TAs for vulnerable pupils (50% are pupil premium and if this provision was not in place for all of these four children, their
behaviour would severely impact the progress on all PP pupils in their class.
TA Intervention (phonics, maths, handwriting, social skills, speech & language) identified from pupil progress meetings/ SENCO
monitoring. Teachers plan and resource these groups.
Extension activities from class input
Impact SENCO Release Time:
The SENCO has been released to conduct lesson observations in all classes across the school. The SENCO’s focus has been to observe
inclusive classroom practice in order to narrow the gap between vulnerable learners and the rest of the cohort of pupils.
The SENCO looked for trends across the school and focus on areas where support could be placed to narrow the gap further. The
SENCO has liaised with the SLT regarding trends and feedback to Class Teachers. INSET training will then be arranged to support
teachers/TAs further.
Additional SENCO hours to carry out responsibilities.
