Director of Jackson-Walnut Park Schools Annual Fund - 24 hour per week position
Reporting to the President of Jackson-Walnut Park Schools, and in collaboration with the Director of Development,
Major Gifts, the Director of Annual Fund is responsible for the overall management of the annual giving program
including revenue and expenditures and the Annual Auction event. He/she will submit a plan in September of every year
that outlines goals, strategies and benchmarks for success for inclusion in the overall Development plan.
As Director of the Annual Fund, he/she will:














set goals based on historical analysis of donor and prospect base and school needs
develop targeted campaigns for parents of current students, grandparents of current students, alumni parents,
and faculty and staff
establish a calendar of solicitations by targeted constituency and fundraising strategy
provide ongoing and targeted evaluation and analysis to meet goals
personally solicit donors as appropriate to maintain or increase their gift
staff a volunteer leadership committee for the annual fund, including ensuring that volunteers receive the
appropriate support and recognition
use multiple channels in soliciting donors
coordinate annual fund with other fundraising activities
in collaboration with Director of Development, Major Gifts, ensure that major gift prospects are identified among
current annual fund donors, including building relationships with them
monitor program results and provide ongoing analysis and evaluation of solicitation programs
recommend and implement changes in strategies to meet program goals and objectives
coordinate gift acknowledgment and pledge fulfillment
coordinate stewardship plan for annual fund donors
maximize the corporate matching gift potential among current and prospective annual fund donors
Donor Relations/Stewardship




implement a stewardship plan for JWP Schools that ensures that donors and volunteers at all levels are
appropriately stewarded.
develop, build, and retain positive relationships with the School's families, faculty and staff, grandparents, friends
and community leaders.
oversee appreciation events and materials with an eye towards making every donor and volunteer feel valued and
appreciated.
responsible for the school’s Annual Report and other donor recognition materials.
Annual Auction

collaborate with parents, JWP administrative team and staff, parents and volunteers in planning the Auction with a
goal of growing revenue and participation
Qualifications
• Three to five years of fundraising experience • A proven track record of success in growing a comprehensive giving
program • Ability to conceive, plan and execute a multifaceted annual fund program • Ability to establish measurable goals
and objectives and to develop and implement strategies to achieve them. • Strong computer skills, including expertise in
MS Office, Excel, Maestro-Soft and ETapestry Data Bases • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. •
Entrepreneurial, creative and collaborative approach to fundraising. • Impeccable ethics, discretion and the ability to
maintain confidentiality. • Ability to prioritize own work load in a timely manner to complete assignment when faced with
many deadlines and competing requirements • Expertise in enlisting, training, managing and motivating large groups of
volunteers. • Knowledge of direct mail, face-to-face and Internet solicitation marketing techniques • Ability to work with
others in the fulfillment of responsibilities • Bachelor’s degree
