I put a hat of mother’s Upon his round head, And then I ran and left him And hurried off to bed. When I awoke next morning, Imagine my surprise, My snowman had run away And left his “Christmas Night”. Mouse: Merry Christmas, Santa Claus! Santa: the same to you! Mouse: Please, can you make our wishes come true? Tony: Dear Santa Claus, do you suppose That you could send to me, Two trains with tracks this Christmas Eve If I’m good as I can be? You see, dear Santa Claus, My daddy likes to play With all my things, but most of all He like the track to lay. Dear Santa Claus, If you can send Two trains, Why don’t you see, My dad can play with his own train, And leave my train to me! Santa: In my sledge I go. I see you like to ski and skate. I don’t think I’m late. I see you are having a lot of fun I have a present for everyone. A tingle, a tiptoe, a fire aglow All crispy and nippy-snowflakes and snow/ Elf2 Christmas is tinsel, a present, a tree; A joy and laughter, a giggle of glee; Or a quiet candle, a flicker of fame; A whisper, a touch of soft falling rain. Elf 3 Christmas is family, old, young, the same; Visitors and carols, again and again; A pudding, a plump, a goose full of fat; Smelling the stuffing of this and of that. Elf4 Christmas is everything, poorest or bare; Richly ornated, embraced with care A vision for all or one hope, set apart A true thing, a real thing that lives in my heart.
