Fellowship in the Public Practice of the Humanities
The Fellowship supports public humanities practitioners from Wyoming museums,
historic sites, and cultural institutions. WIHR support is intended to free the Fellowship winner
for one to two weeks of fulltime research at the University of Wyoming to develop new
programming or support new uses of his or her organization's materials. The Fellowship awards
$1,000 per week for up to two weeks of fulltime work while in residence in Laramie. WIHR will
provide appropriate office or work space, consultation with UW humanities faculty and
professional staff members, and a community of interested colleagues who will help the
Fellowship winner workshop ideas and approaches in their research.

contribute to the research project.
Names and institutional affiliations of two references who will send letters of support directly to
WIHR.
Application deadlines: March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31. Fellowship may
commence 30 days after notification of award.
