Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Hearts for the Arts Fundraiser
Ann Arbor — Help the A2SO raise $70,000 to bring musical arts enrichment programs to over 30,000
area students by donating or bidding on unique items. How about a trip to New York City to hear
Rigoletto at the Met or perhaps a South African Photo Safari? These and many more one-of-a-kind items
have been spotted at the A2SO’s annual Hearts for the Arts fund raiser, taking place on Saturday,
February 2th at 6 pm at the Barton Hills Country Club. This special evening, now in its seventeenth
year, benefits the extensive community-wide educational and artistic programs of the Ann Arbor
Symphony Orchestra with Kim and Darlene Eagle serving as Honorary Chairs.
The event will feature a silent auction, an elegant champagne reception, a not-to-be missed chef’s
dinner, the lovely sound of music by Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra musicians led by Conductor Arie
Lipsky, and a lively not-so-silent auction.
Special treats include the back-by-popular-demand A2SO Trio dinner, charming themed-baskets of
goodies, unique trips and experiences, and many more exciting one-of-a-kind packages.
The dollars generated by this important event go to the A²SO’s education and artistic programs that
serve over 30,000 youngsters through 50 ensembles in our schools, two youth concerts, dozens of
Instrument Petting Zoos and 15 free KinderConcerts for toddlers. Music Education programs help
children develop critical thinking skills, improve spatial relationship skills and open new doors of
opportunity and learning.
Your $175 Hearts ticket this year includes the champagne reception, a delicious dinner, music and the
entertaining live and silent auctions. Once again Hearts for the Arts will have round tables of 8-10.
