Workshops at GroundWorks Friday 20th February 11am – 12.15pm HALL Alex Sangster: ‘Once upon a time...the Bush, the Story and the Archetype’ Come and share your own story of finding God in the bush as well as exploring what it means to embody the archetypes of Australian story. This workshop will involve gentle movement, breath, voice and song. CHURCH Cath Connelly: Celtic Music: a Way of Building Bridges Between My Deep Yearnings and Everyday Life in Australia. Celtic music arouses a most primal hunger and longing. The very sound of it can make us weep, laugh and rest deeply in our inner being. Immersing us in the exquisite sounds of her Celtic harp, Cath Connelly will address such questions as ‘How might Celtic music draw me closer into relationship with nature and the Divine?’, ‘How do I build bridges between my deep yearnings that Celtic music evokes and my everyday life as an Australian?’ and ‘How might I use Celtic music in my personal reflection and prayer time?’. What a treat! RESOURCE ROOM Fiona Pfennigwerth: Reflecting on Fiona’s Artwork. Fiona’s workshop will be a space to contemplate the outback landscape paintings that are her reflection of John's Gospel; and to converse with them and each other. It will also be a time to hear her journey from text to artwork; and a taste of experiencing your own beginnings with a Psalm Workshops at GroundWorks Friday 20th February 4pm – 5.30pm LOUNGE Zena Liston: ‘A Personal Experience Of God And Spirituality Shaped By Growing Up In Rural Celtic Ireland’. During this workshop Zena will share some of her lived experiences of growing up and living in the Irish landscape which has shaped her relationship to God and spirituality If time permits there will be an opportunity to make a traditional Irish St Bridget’s Cross from reeds CHURCH Carmel Tedesco: ‘Changing the World From Your Own Backyard.’ Carmel’s workshop will look at learning to live on less in order to take time to nourish your family and the planet through home cooking, engaged citizenship, responsible consumption and creative living. If numbers warrant it, Fiona’s workshop will be repeated in the afternoon.
