Training Objectives:
 To provide a basic overview of land use planning processes in Washington State, and how federal interests and
laws interact with these processes, especially in critical areas.
 To understand how federal agencies can be a resource to local governments as they adopt plans and
regulations that touch federal interests including surface water, floodplains, wetlands, fisheries, affordable
housing, and regional transportation.
