LET’S GET STARTED!!!
When “googling”:
-
be specific in what you are searching for (i.e. “King Tut facts,” NOT “mummies”)
-
look at given answers carefully: read the description given, check the website address, and
make an educated guess whether it will have what you need or not
-
DON’T get “lost” looking at other fun stuff; stay focused on your task!!!
When researching, look for:
-
well known companies or organizations (i.e. National Geographic; Smithsonian Institute;
encyclopedias; etc.)
-
website addresses ending in .edu (coming from a college/university or higher education)
-
credible sources: Do they know what they are talking about???
-
Remember: Some websites are specific to one topic, some can be used for all three. Please
take time to search for yourself a bit, too!
