Studied: Fine Art at LSAD (Limerick School of Art & Design and NCAD (National College of Art & Design) MA in Women’s Studies (University of Limerick) Author of five collections of poetry & a chapbook of poems: ‘In Fields I Hear Them Sing,’ ( Salmon Publishing 1989 ). ‘The Vigilant One,’ (Salmon Publishing 1994), which was nominated for the Irish Times/Aer Lingus Literature Prize. ‘Certain Octobers,’ (Editions Eireanna, Quimper France, 1997 ), a dual language English/French edition, which received a publication bursary from the Centre du Livre, Paris France. ‘City of Bridges,’ ( Salmonpoetry, 2005.) A Chapbook of poems, ‘The Artist’s Room’ (Pighog Press, Brighton England 2010.) ‘The Painter’s House’ (Salmon Publishing, 2013) Nominated in 1994 for the, ‘Irish Times/Aer Lingus Literature Prize.’ Nominated in 2003 for the, ‘ Prix Evelyn Encelot,’ Ecriture Prize, Maison des Ecrivains, Paris. Recipiant in 2014 of the, ‘Michael Hartnett Poetry Award’ Ireland. Work has been translated into French, Spanish, Romanian, Noregian, Russian, Slovenian & Italian. Published in literary journals in, Nth.Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Russia, France, Slovenia, Spain, & the Channel Islands. Recipiant of Travel Grants from The Arts Council of Ireland, Culture Ireland & Limerick City Council. Recipiant of a publication bursary from the Centre du Livre, Paris France. Has translated the work of the Italian poets, Biancamaria Frabotta & Umberto Fiori as part of the Poetry Ireland Translation Seminars at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Annaghmakerrig.
