Recruitment Counselor Application 2015 Gettysburg College Thank you for your interest in becoming a Gettysburg College Recruitment Counselor. Recruitment Counselors play a vital role before and during formal recruitment. If selected to become a Recruitment Counselor, you will not only help the Panhellenic Recruitment team, but also all of the Potential New Members. You provide support, friendship, and personal guidance to the women throughout the formal recruitment process. Once selected as a Recruitment Counselor, it is your responsibility to become disaffiliated from your chapter. This is done so that the RC can properly promote the entire Greek Community and all chapters that make up the Panhellenic Community. You will gain knowledge during training about every chapter and about recruitment rules and procedures so that you can serve as a knowledgeable resource to all Potential New Members. RCs aid PNMs throughout the formal recruitment process as they give the women their first impressions of Greek life at Gettysburg College. To be a Recruitment Counselor, you must have a positive attitude and excellent communication and listening skills. In addition, we are looking for members of NPC sororities who can work well with others and serve as a positive role model. It is expected that RCs can maintain confidentiality. You must also be in good judicial and academic standing with Gettysburg College and your respective sororities. It is imperative that you are willing and able to disaffiliate from your sorority beginning at All Women’s Period. You must be able to attend all recruitment meetings, as there is important information that you need to learn to best serve in your role. Lastly, you must be able to attend all events during formal recruitment weekend so that you can take your girls through the process and complete your duties as a member of the Recruitment team. This year, we ask that RC applicants have an executive board member of their sorority fill out a recommendation for them. We can only learn so much about you through your application and would like to hear feedback from a leader in your sorority. The recommendation form can be found in the following packet. Thank you, again, for your interest in this exciting position. You have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of future sorority women. All applications and recommendations are due February 6, 2015. Please remember to schedule your interview with Nicole Beyer as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Nicole at beyeni02@gettysburg.edu.
