London School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance Staff Dr Ross McKim MA, PhD, NBS (IDP)- Consultant Ross McKim was the Principal of the Rambert School for thirty years. He entered The Royal Ballet School at sixteen and The Royal Danish Ballet at seventeen dancing with The Royal Danish Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and London Contemporary Dance Theatre as a principal dancer before forming his own company Moving Visions. He has choreographed for companies including London Contemporary Dance Theatre, The National Ballet of Canada, English National Opera. Michelle - Director - Teacher (Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Jazz) Michelle trained at The Rambert School for Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She was chosen to be the lead dancer in the end of term performance of ”Imbleko” She has continued her career including with the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Bregenz Festival, Austria and De Vlaamse Opera, Antwerp, The Young Vic, Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber, The National Theatre of Scotland, The Tobacco Factory, and West Yorkshire Playhouse. Michelle Has danced in music Videos for Kylie Minogue, Jamiroquai, Gabrielle and Lionel Ritchie. Sian-BA, MA, Teacher (Ballet, Contemporary Dance) Sian trained at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Sian took her BA (Hons) and went on to gain an MA with distinction there. She became the Rehearsal Director at The Rambert School, and continues to teach there. She is Dr Ross McKim’s principal demonstrator. She has danced with Inland Pacific Ballet, Peter McCoy and Moving Visions with whom she is a Principal Artist. She has choreographed for Rambert School, Cantata Dramatica, Christ Church Cathedral, (Oxford), Southwark Cathedral and Moving Visions. Shani-Ballet Teacher Shani studied ballet, tap and modern with Susan Robinson. She then won a grant to study at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance under the directorship of Ross McKim. While continuing as an accomplished performer, Shani teaches adults and children Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She specializes in the ISTD method (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.) She continues her studies towards upgrading her qualifications. Emma-Dance Wear Consultant Emma is the General Manager of Dancia International, London’s largest independent dancewear store in Covent Garden. She attended Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts then The Arts Educational School- Tring, completing her training at The Rambert School. She has worked in Europe, dancing ballet classics like Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Emma is a pointe shoe fitting specialist, working with many renowned ballet companies such as The Royal Ballet and ENO. She is the personal fitter to many of the world’s Ballet stars of today.
