DRESS REHEARSAL
Sunday 22nd November – At Lutterworth College - Main Hall.
All pupils involved in the show will be expected to attend this rehearsal.
All children should be dressed in their costume with the correct coloured socks or tights as
instructed. Hair should be neatly in a bun (no fringes), unless otherwise informed. Please bring
plenty of hairgrips whatever length of hair for gripping on hats and headdresses. Stage makeup
must be worn for the dress rehearsal due to photographs and the setting of the stage lighting. No
jewellery or nail varnish please.
As in previous years the children in the Saturday morning Ballet class 9.30 to 10.15, will change
in the down stairs changing room (this is situated at the side of the stage and is known as the
male changing room). The rest of the children will change up stairs in the female changing room
(this is situated at the top left of the stone stairs behind the stage); this will be for the dress
rehearsal only. Please do NOT change in the hall. Dressing room allocation will be given out in
next week’s letter about the show. There will be no supervision for the children during the dress
rehearsal so you will be expected to stay with your child for the duration of their practice. After
they have changed into their costume they can come back into the hall where you can watch the
rehearsal, although we do ask you to be as quiet as possible. The children will be called on stage
when needed. Please make sure that your son/daughter has something warm (dressing gowns
are good!) to put around them while they are waiting and also to prevent costumes from getting
dirty.
Photographs
Our photographer this year is Simon Coats whose photography business is based in Rugby,
Simon will be in the café area at the back of the hall for anyone who would like a photograph taken
of their child/children in costume. It will be up to you to go and see Simon after your child has
danced. The photographs will be able to be purchased from Simon Coats website and will be
password protected.
May I remind everyone that there should be NO SWEET'S, DRINK'S OR ANY OTHER FOOD
EATEN WHILE THE CHILDREN ARE IN COSTUME.
Please don’t use deodorant while in costumes as this stain the material.
If you have any questions at all please come and see me or Verity. The times of the rehearsals
are listed over the page: please note that these are only approximate times.
There will be a letter about the show next week.
