Additional letters of commitment will help the project especially by the boards and/or commissions that are critical to the fulfillment of the applicant’s objectives (i.e. Planning Board, Department of Public Works, Conservation Commission, etc.). 1. Experience with Green Infrastructure/ Stormwater Management (25/100 points) The implementation community should be actively pursuing innovative stormwater management or green infrastructure approaches demonstrated by any or all of the following: 2. a) Support for stormwater control or water quality protection in the Master Plan or other town documents (please describe) b) On-going initiatives or past adoption of regulatory, planning and policy measures for stormwater management, water quality or water resource management (please describe). c) Successful implementation of best management practices, green infrastructure or low impact development practices; and any other stormwater projects or initiatives (please describe). d) The implementation community should be committed to engaging and informing community members about their project implementation efforts (please describe). Identified Problem or Needs (25/100 points) – maps or photos may also be attached. The implementation community should be able to identify specific elements from the GI toolbox that they would like to implement. (Note: the project team will give greater weight to projects that can successfully be implemented by the Fall of 2013). 3. Community Outreach and Engagement (10/100 points) The implementation community should be able and willing to share experiences with other watershed communities through assistance with the development of case-studies, interviews, participation in future outreach activities and willingness to continue work with the GISCC project team. Community Implementation Funding Application page 2 Green Infrastructure for NH Coastal Watershed Communities Match or in-kind Contribution (15/100 points) The implementation community should be willing to commit resources in the form of personnel, materials equipment or volunteer time. Some form of contribution is required, but we understand that available resources vary by community. 5. All applicants are required to provide a response to the following two elements, however these elements will not be scored. 6. Project Management The implementation community must designate a lead point of contact assigned to manage the project and interact with the Project Team. Please describe your community’s ability to meet this requirement. 7. Project Sustainability The implementation community must commit to full ownership of the GI product developed through the project, and the sustainability of that resource over time. This may include maintenance of constructed BMPs, enforcement of standards, and other activities as appropriate. Please describe your community’s ability to meet this requirement.
