The Department of Engineering Technology is seeking a faculty member for a full-time tenure track teaching position in the Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) program. The ET Department offers both associate and bachelor's degrees in Design Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology. A Masters degree in an appropriate field is required along with Five years, post BS degree, of industrial experience is for consideration as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Excellent English language written and speaking skills are required. The position will require knowledge and experience with industrial electronics, digital systems, embedded controllers, industrial automation and Real-Time embedded systems. The successful candidate will be both academic and industry oriented with the ability and desire to work closely and cooperatively with faculty, staff, and students. Teaching experience at the collegiate level in technology, the ability to teach a variety of engineering technology courses in other programs within the Engineering Technology Department, and the ability to direct senior project activities is preferred. Experience working with diverse populations is also preferred. PhD is preferred, as is significant industrial experience. The qualified candidate will be expected to teach a variety of courses in the EET program with additional responsibilities including student advising, development of instructional materials, participation in scholarly activities, course and program assessments, ETAC of ABET accreditation support, building industry relationships and fostering internships.
