THE SPECTACULAR CELEBRATIONS FOR H.M. THE QUEEN ELIZABETH II’S DIAMOND JUBILEE LONDON,SUNDAY 3RD JUNE 2012 (Approximately 11:30am – 5:00pm) Join NoteWorthy in a prime viewing location on the River Thames to watch the 1,000 boat armada on Sunday, June 3 which will surpass even the unforgettable celebration of King Charles II's restoration in 1662. The 7½ mile long pageant marks the sixtieth anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne. At high water, up to a thousand boats muster on the River Thames in preparation for Her Majesty to lead the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It will be one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the river. Sailing yachts, working boats and pleasure vessels of all shapes and sizes will be beautifully dressed overall with streamers and Union Jacks, their crews and passengers turned out in their finest rigs. The spectacle is further enhanced by music barges, boats spouting geysers and pyrotechnic vessels, spitting smoke and daytime fireworks. There will be specially constructed elements too, such as a floating belfry, its chiming bells being answered by those from the riverbank churches NoteWorthy Events 152 Buckingham Palace Road London SW1W 9TR kristina@noteworthy.co.uk Tel. +44 (0) 203 051 5165 As the Queen proceeds through an ‘avenue of sail’, a traditional gun salute sounds to conclude the procession as she reaches Tower Bridge. Certainly, this cavalcade will be the grandest river pageant ever seen on the Thames! NoteWorthy has secured exclusive access to HMS Belfast as a venue for this incredible spectacle. HMS Belfast was launched in 1938 and served with distinction in both the Second World War and the Korean War. She is now the only surviving example of the great fleets of big gun armoured warships built for the Royal Navy in the first half of the twentieth century. HMS Belfast is moored on the River Thames, with an idyllic location between London Bridge and Tower Bridge.
