‘Save Our Surgery’ Campaign
Update
We are delighted to tell you that the
business case to move to the Dairy
Site has been approved by NHS
England, so the future of the surgery is
now assured.
We also welcome back Dr Shabana
Chaudhari who will be working with us
on Fridays.
Where possible, we do try and ensure
we have the same locums covering
when doctors are away for patient
continuity of care. Dr Charlotte Gandy,
Dr Iram Zaidi and Dr Irshad Hussain
regularly cover.
We have been told that letters have
been sent to all our patients but for
those of you who are unaware, the
baby clinic is no longer held at
Elmcourt Health Centre. It is now at
the West Norwood Health and Leisure
Centre on Knight’s Hill and this is
where the Health Visitors will now be
based.
CQC Inspection
Reception Staff
In particular, we would like to thank our
Patient Participation Group for their
support and hard work. We can now
look forward and continue to work
together for the benefit of all our
patients.
We have been informed that we will
having a CQC Inspection on 12th
November. There are comment cards
in Reception on the table under the
‘signing in screen’ to the left of the
reception desk. Please feel free to fill
them out and place them in the box.
Staff Changes
Rosendale Pharmacy
From the 1st October, Dr Carine Powell
joins Dr Rosemary Leonard and Dr
Shailender Parihar as a Partner for
Rosendale Surgery.
BJ, the Pharmacist for Rosendale
Pharmacy is now offering flu
vaccinations for £10 each for those
patients who are not eligible under the
NHS but still wish to be vaccinated.
Also, please welcome Dr Azhar
Saleem, who will be working with us on
Tuesdays and Dr Zac Bloom, who will
be working at the surgery on Mondays.
Health Visitors and Baby Clinic
He also provides ‘the morning after pill’
with no adult age constraints.
Our Receptionists will be taking on
extra duties in the future and may be
calling you about such things as your
children’s immunisations, your smoking
status, making an appointment for one
of our specialist clinics, etc.
Always try to make a note of his/her
name when they call. This helps you
to speak to the same person when you
call back and will prevent you from
having to repeat your ‘concerns’ again
to someone completely different.
Reception staff will always leave their
name if they leave you a voicemail
message.

Our group consists of patients who
attend meetings at the surgery and
those who want to be included by

complete a form in Reception or via
our website.
We hope our next meeting will be in
November when we hope to have
further updates on the new premises
and to continue to work towards
improving our services together.
We need a Defibrillator!!
Defibrillators save lives so we want to
invest in one for the Surgery.
Our Practice raffle is still running until
we raise more funds towards the cost.
Both prizes would make an excellent
Christmas present for someone you
love so why not try your luck?!
The prizes are a Kindle Fire HD and a
Nikon Coolpix L29 Digital Camera
Only £2 per ticket or you can buy 10
tickets for £15 and increase your
chances of winning for less!!
