For breeding of the "Mare" specified below to the Holsteiner Stallion Cisco for
the 20__ Breeding season. (“Present Breeding Season"). This contract is
subject to the following terms and conditions:

FEES:
2. The semen will be shipped fresh chilled in a disposable shipping container.
Collections fees of $175 per collection + postage are due prior to shipment
of the semen. You will make checks payable to Derek Petersen.
3. This contract is live foal guarantee (foal is standing and nursing at 48
hours) with a return for the following breeding season 20__. A report is due at
the end of breeding season. Prior permission from Derek Petersen & Legacy
Farm must be given before substitution of another mare. A report is due no
later than August 31, 20__ on whether the mare is in foal or not. This report
must be sent to Derek Petersen & Legacy Farm so the Live Foal Guarantee
and return breeding can be honored.
4. A non-refundable booking fee of $300.00 is due with the signing of this
contract. This fee is included in the stallion stud fee.
5. The full stallion stud fee of $1,500 must be received before any semen will
be sent.
6. Shipping cost will be charged to the buyer. Derek Petersen & Legacy Farm
will provide shipping cost receipt to buyer.
COLLECTION SCHEDULE:
7. Semen is planned to be collected Monday- Saturday as possible from
February 1 - August 10, 20__. We will try to accommodate the breeder if
possible. The buyer must contact Derek Petersen Legacy Farm the day
before to guarantee shipment. The buyer should keep Derek Petersen &
Legacy Farm informed of the progress of the heat cycle of their mare. This
will help Derek Petersen & Legacy Farm ensure we will have semen ready
for your mare when needed. Derek Petersen & Legacy Farm will try to
accommodate requests for semen on non-planned collection days as much
as possible.
8. The buyer will insure that the mare is in sound breeding condition. Barren,
non-maiden mares should have a culture and possibly a uterine biopsy to
insure the mare is in good condition for breeding. The mare will receive
Rhinopneumonitis (equine herpes type I) immunizations at 5,7 & 9 months of

pregnancy or the live foal guarantee will not be honored. Mares should
be de-wormed regularly.

9. This contract may not be transferred to another buyer unless arrangements
are made with Derek Petersen & Legacy Farm.
All FEES must be paid prior to any semen being shipped. Please make
checks payable to Derek Petersen.
