ADMISSION TO MANAGEMENT QUOTA FOR PROFESSIONAL COURSE IN UNAIDED PARAMEDICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN PONDICHERRY STATE
GENERAL
In pursuance to the decisions of the Apex court in Islamic Academic Educational and Another
Vs State of Karnataka and other dated 14-08-2003, a Common Entrance Test is to be
conducted by an Association of Pondicherry Un-aided (self financing) Professional Colleges.
Now the Un-aided Private Paramedical Colleges in Pondicherry State have formed an
Association in the name of “Pondicherry Linguistic and Religious Minority Paramedical
Colleges Welfare Association” under Registration No.121 of 2004. The Association has been
granted permission to conduct Common Entrance Test in the name of “Common Entrance
Test for Pondicherry Private Paramedical Colleges” (CETPPPC) for the purpose to admit
students in the B.Sc.(Nursing) course in the Private Nursing Colleges under the Management
Quota.

The application is meant for registering the candidate for Common Entrance Test (CETPPPC
– 2015) conducted by “Pondicherry Linguistic and Religious Minority Paramedical Colleges
Welfare Association” for the above institutions.
Eligibility for Admission
As per pre-requisite admission to the Management Quota to B.Sc.(Nursing) Degree Course,
Candidates must have appeared in CETPPPC – 2015. However, mere appearance in
CETPPPC – 2015 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to B.Sc.(Nursing)
Degree Course. For admission to B.Sc.(Nursing) Degree Course, the candidate should fulfill
the necessary admission requirements prescribed by Government of Pondicherry/Pondicherry
University.
Minimum Academic Qualification
Candidate for admission to the first year of the B.Sc. (Nursing) Degree Course should have passed
the H.Sc.(Academic/vocational) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary
Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate
marks (40 % for SC/OBC) in Biology (Botany & Zoology), Physics, Chemistry or Biology (Botany
& Zoology, Physics, Chemistry with Nursing Course and should have studied English as one of the
subjects.

Improvement of Marks
Candidate may also seek admission with marks secured in the improvement examination (if they
are advantageous) provided it is the first improvement examination.
Age Limit
Candidates should be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015. However, no upper age limit has
been prescribed.

Hall Ticket
After scrutinizing the completed application form, the Hall Ticket for CETPPPC – 2015, containing
the Name, Registration Number, Photograph and Entrance Test Center will be sent to the candidate
by post. The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of Entrance Test. Without the Hall Ticket,
no candidate will be permitted to write the test.

Duplicate Hall Ticket
If the Hall Ticket is not received by 23rd July 2105, the candidate should contact Central Office
situated at “Indirani College of Nursing, 13 A, Pondy-Villupuram Main Road, Ariyur, Puducherry
with two passport size photographs and proof of having applied for CETPPPC – 2015 to get the
Duplicate Hall Ticket.
Rank List of “Common Entrance Test” (CETPPPC – 2015)
Rank List showing the mark scored by the candidate in the Common Entrance Test will be displayed
in the Notice Board of the Colleges soon after the Publication of result and also it will be “hosted in
the websites”.
Instructions and Guidelines to fill the Application Form
Candidates desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test (CETPPPC – 2015) conducted by
the Association should fill their application in the prescribed format and send directly by post.
Candidates either have to use the application form given along with the Information brochure by
the respective centers or downloaded application form from websites:

Candidates who use the downloaded application form have to pay Rs.550- (Rupees five hundred
only) as a Demand Draft separately towards the cost of the application along with the completed
application form.
The Application and Information booklet can also be obtained in person on payment of Rs.500/(Rupees five hundred only) by cash from the Association Office and respective colleges or can be
obtained by post by sending a requisition along with the Demand Draft for Rs.550/- (Rupees five
hundred and fifty only) inclusive of postal charges drawn in favour of “PLRMPCWA (Pondicherry
Linguistics and Religious Minority Paramedical Colleges Welfare Association) payable at
Pondicherry. After processing, if found eligible, the Hall Ticket will be sent to the candidates by
post.

The completed application form should reach the office on or before 05.00 p.m. on Tuesday, the
21st July 2015. CETPPPC will not be responsible for postal or any other delay. Incomplete/wrongly
filled application will be summarily rejected. The application received after the due date and time
will also be summarily rejected and no further correspondence in the matter will be entertained.
TEST CENTER
1. The students will have to take an Objective Type Test in the subjects of Physics,
Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
2. The Candidate should send attested copy of the mark list of the qualifying examination and
Passport Size Photos (attested) alongwith the application.
Note: Admission made is provisional and are subject to approval of respective authorities Puducherry State Government/ Pondicherry University.. No further correspondence will be
entertained on any matters pertaining to the CETPPPC – 2014.
