2011 Section Highlights
This year, Indonesia Section held 11 Administrative meeting, including meeting with several
conference organizers. Indonesia section is Technical Sponsor for 8 Conferences in Indonesia and
organizes successful TENCON2011.
3 Technical meeting, together with ComSoc Chapter, are review for white paper public hearing of
Telecommunication Regulation as preposition to Telecommunication Ministry.
One of 3 Educational Activities is IEEE Day Celebration at @america, Jakarta. And at the end of
2011, we held Indonesia Student Congress which provides leadership training for students from 4
Student Branches delegation, Technical speech on ICT regulation and technology, and also social
event with Bandung tour gathering.


 WORKSHOP : Supporting women and young people in rural societies by imparting technical
training and utilizing natural resources, July – December 2011
o Creating e-mail address. To introduce and to teach how to make e-mail address. This may
continue to the stage of introducing the Yahoo messenger and Yahoo groups if time permits.
o Creating Website. To introduce and to teach local business women in creating their own
Website, in order to promote their products.
o Creating a Graphic Design. To introduce and to teach how to make a design that have an
impact with the main purpose to be useful for their local business ( e.g: create a logo, lay out
for website, etc)

very useful for introducing IEEE to lecturers and researchers in Indonesia.
