Our food service provider, Pomptonian Foods, is proud to announce the introduction of a brand new online ordering system in Cranford beginning October! Parents of students attending Walnut Avenue School can place orders on their convenient website: http://cranford.pomptonianmenus.com/order Order until 8 AM the same day Pomptonian will allow families to place an order on-line up to 8 AM the same day. You can also plan lunches for the entire month. A simple log-on site with an easy to read menu, no service charge and an easy credit card payment system makes ordering a snap. Your child’s lunch will be ready and waiting at meal time. Quality foods, featuring Boar’s Head deli products and all-white meat chicken products. Pomptonian sources high quality ingredients and infuses health options into kidappealing meals. All meals are prepared fresh each day right here in Cranford. Lunch offered at two price points Pomptonian brings Cranford into the new food movement, increasing convenience while keeping costs reasonable. Lunches are offered at two price points, $3.00 and $3.75. Bottle water and a variety of milk options are also available. Choose available meals for purchase from the meal schedule 3. Enter payment information 4. Complete checkout and receive e-mail receipt 5. For changes, cancellations, or order refunds, please refer to e-mail receipt Can I place an order for the entire month, week or each day? The new online ordering system gives parents complete flexibility. You can place an order for the entire month, or daily if you prefer. You may order up to 8 AM Can a parent change the item they have chosen for a particular day? If a parent needs to change a child’s meal, they would have to e-mail the Food Service Director, who can make the change for them. This cannot be done online for an order that was already placed. What type of confirmation will parent receive regarding their orders? After a parent places an order, the system will automatically generate an e-mail with the details of the order(s). It will indicate the meal choice ordered on which day and the price of the meal. What happens on a Snow Day? The school policy is to issue credits automatically for all students who place an order on a day that the school is closed, due to inclement weather. There is no need for the parent to take any further action on those days. Can my child continue to order a second slice of pizza? Yes, this one of the menu choices. You will see, when placing an order, a one-slice pizza meal, as well as a two slice pizza meal. Can faculty or staff participate in the program? Yes. Any staff member can enter information for an order, similar to a student and then choose “Staff” when indicating which homeroom class they are in. Refund/ Return Policy All orders can be cancelled up to 8 AM the day of. A refund will be processed and will be refunded to the method of payment used. To cancel a meal and/or request a refund, please contact the School Food Service Director, Melissa Menkin at pomptonian@cranfordschools.org Special Dietary Needs (allergies) The cafeteria operation is peanut/ tree nut aware and items that list peanuts or tree nuts in the ingredient label are not used in the production of elementary meals. The Food Service department is committed to working with children with allergies so that they can participate in the lunch program and have a positive experience. Our Food Service Director is in charge of the production and distribution of these meals. She has been trained in allergy sensitivity and food safety. Parents of students with food allergies are encouraged to contact her for additional information and/or support. FREE/ REDUCED PRICE LUNCHES The Cranford Public Schools also provides lunches for free or at a reduced price to families based on income. Applications for Free or Reduced Price Meals can be obtained by contacting the school office. Students who were receiving free or reduced price lunches last year will continue to receive these benefits through September 30, 2015. New applications must be completed and submitted by September30 or your student will be required to pay full price for lunch beginning on October 1, 2015.
