Principal’s Summary:
On March 14, Poston Butte High School Varsity Football Coach Paul Moro received the
“Frank Kush Lifetime Achievement Coaching Award” from the National Football Foundation.
This award is given annually and past recipients include: Frank Kush, Arizona State
University (1986), Jesse Parker, Camelback, Mountain View, and Gilbert (2001); Bruce
Snyder, Arizona State University (2009). This award is given in recognition of “an Arizonans’
lifetime of coaching service and dedication to amateur football, this award celebrated the
ideals practiced by Hall of Fame Coach Frank Kush in teaching our youth the hard earned
values of commitment, practice, team loyalty, preparation, and perseverance that will later
lead to a lifetime of success.”
Poston Butte also recently received word that we swept the Pinal County Essay contest for
the 2nd year in a row; Courtney Hoggard took 1st place and Cyrena Cruz won 2nd place.
We are proud of these students and of our outstanding English department for preparing our
students for success.
Finally, the class of 2015 Senior gift is a mural that has been painted in the Bronco Zone. It
is a beautiful gift and we encourage people to come take a look.
