THE PENINSULA SPA INTRODUCES KORE THERAPY, A GLOBALLY
ACCLAIMED HEALING PROGRAMME USED BY SPORTS STARS AND

The Peninsula Shanghai is proud to announce that from January 2015 The Peninsula Spa has
become the first spa in Shanghai to offer the globally acclaimed KORE Therapy programme.
Developed by Dr. John Brazier in the UK more than 20 years ago, KORE Therapy is a
neurologic based treatment that integrates Western and Eastern strength and orthopedic muscle
testing skills to ascertain the root cause of pain, illness and fatigue.
KORE Therapy is used at leading spas and health clinics worldwide to tailor bespoke treatments
for a range of conditions, including neck, back and leg pain, bowel and digestive issues, and
immune system problems leading to asthma, colds, fatigue and many other issues. KORE
Therapy has also proved successful in enhancing sporting performance and injury assessment.
Olympic athletes, Premier League footballers, professional golfers, tennis coaches, Indian
Premier League cricketers and champion body builders attest to its powers of challenging and
applying treatment to pelvic, spinal, digestive, nerve, energy and blood flow issues.
Dr. John Brazier, who founded KORE Therapy in the UK, is an honoree Doctor of Traditional
Chinese medicine and a specialist in Western Musculo-Skeletal systems. He is also Vice
President of The Federation of Holistic Therapists, the UK's largest professional therapist
association. His award-winning KORE Academy has delivered training to spas, hotels and
fitness organisations in the UK, Germany, Kuwait, India and Singapore and KORE Therapy was
described as “the most successful therapy” at one of the most sought after resorts in Thailand.
In mid-December, Dr Brazier visited Shanghai conducting a five-day KORE Therapy training
programme at The Peninsula Spa. The sessions focus on muscles and structure enabling
therapists to diagnose the causative factors in many Musculo-skeletal issues, with treatment
often leading to an immediate reduction of pain, increased strength, performance enhancement
and faster recovery from illness and injury. Guests at The Peninsula Spa can benefit from the
highly effective KORE Therapy treatments starting in January 2015.
KORE Therapy is now available at The Peninsula Spa in Shanghai from January 2015. A
30-minute consultation is priced at RMB 580 +15% surcharge and a 60-minute consultation and
screening treatment is priced at RMB 1,200 +15%.
