EENA Board Meeting Minutes – May 27, 2014 Adams School Call to Order: 7:03 PM Board members present: Bob Bennett, Sandy Thiel, Cam Johnson, Britteny Scigliano, Jane Suggs, Renee Quick, Andy Brunelle, Tiffany Robb, Steve Lord Board members not present: Deanna Smith, Lee Honsinger Guests: Ross Blanchard Minutes: April 22, 2014 Board Meeting Minutes Approved as well as an Short Overview of the Annual Meeting President’s Report: Donation to the Board for $100 The Board will send a thank you note City Grants – Discussion of the grants received by for the East End: Adams’s School play ground equipment; construction begins this summer the school will keep what they can of the old equipment New Bocce Ball court in Municipal Park Chipper available in the East End On June 2th Communication money available for the website Sidewalk stamps – they will be applied as sections of sidewalks are replaced Free Library – Proposal for Kiosk outside Roosevelt Market. Funding pending. Warm Springs Benches – The old benches were replaced with grant money Financial Report –Account balance: $1,232.09. Incoming reimbursement for $50 for the website. Outstanding bill for the sidewalk stamps Website report: Tiffany reported no changes. New Business: Discussion of Board Members and their roles Jane Suggs is the new city notice coordinator Vote to determine president and other officers Unanimous vote for Bob Bennett as president Bob will create a new list of the Board Members and their rolls: Cam Johnson – Vice president Lee Honsinger – Secretary Tiffany Robb & Brittney Scigliano – Communications Brittney Scigliano – City Grants Coordinator Sandy Thiel - Treasurer Jane Suggs - Mailings Coordinator Andy Brunelle – Special Projects Renee Quick – Special Events Steve Lord – Past President Deanna Smith & Renee Quick – Former Presidents Ross Blanchard – Talked about possible grant applications to improve the trail between Bacon Street and Quarry View/Castle Rock. Improvements between the Bacon entrance to the park and Coston could make the trail usable year around. Grant applications are due in October. Ross agreed to contact the City, as an East End resident and attend the next Board meeting. Jane suggested contacting people who live on Bacon. East End Neighborhood Picnic – set tentative date as Sunday September 14 Request that Steve write a letter expressing opposition to St. Luke’s proposal to close Jefferson Street, not just "write a letter to St. Luke’s.”.
