LITERACY: Literacy groups ended on May
16th. Please send any books or baggies to
school as soon as possible. Please
continue to read books from home with
your child.
ESS-Extended School Services ended on
May 16th.
Please remind your child that these last 2
weeks of school are just as important as
all the other weeks. We will be taking
several mini-quizzes so that I can have
report cards ready. Students need to take
these quizzes seriously.

Language Arts
Math
I can ask and answer questions about the
text. I can identify reasons an author gives to
support a point. I can break down words into
the individual letter sounds.
I can describe characters, setting and major
events in a story. I can identify words that
suggest feelings. I can use illustrations
(pictures) to describe the story. I can compare
and contrast characters. I can read words that
have the suffix –ful, -ly or –y. I can write a
made up story that has a beginning, middle
and end.

I will leave the spelling lists from the year
open over the summer so students may
practice spelling words.
We have a reward day in which
students can play outside and
have a picnic lunch on May 30th.
Students will miss time off of this
picnic day if they are making bad
choices and not following school
rules.

If you wish to purchase a tassel for your child please
send in $2.50 in an envelope as soon as possible so
the tassels can be ordered.
