Here are the suggestions I have for changes to the new website: Homepage: Change the 24-Hour Crisis Hotline to 866-729-3848 throughout the website (header & footer)— this was already noted during our meeting. On the Home Page: in the lower section of the page there are 6 Services listed. We need to remove Consumer Account Management from the listing since it is included in Consumer Benefits On the Home Page: in that same lower section of the page where the 6 Services are listed, add Mental Retardation Services/Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities On the Adult Mental Health page: The two sections for Brazoria County Mental Health Clinic and Galveston County Mental Health Clinic both have a section For Information: (one of the phone numbers is for Intake and the other number is for the Crisis Hotline—the number for information should be for Intake which is 1-800-643-0967) The last option in Adult Mental Health is Hurricane Crisis Counseling Services. This needs to move to the last drop-down for the Services tab (Hurricane Crisis & Recovery). Also, the description of the Disaster Case Management Services listed on the current website under Hurricane Preparedness needs to included in the Hurricane Crisis & Recovery section of the new website. Child and Adolescent Mental Health page: The Intake and Assessment number for Child & Adolescent is: 1-877-226-8780 Center Facilities and Locations page in the “About Our Agency” dropdown: In the section about GCC-League City change the fax number for MR Service Coordination from (281) 332-3475 which is no longer in service to (281)338-2460 which is the same fax number for the other programs in the building. History of the Gulf Coast Center page needs to update the information to 40 years of service. I suggest taking out the number of adults admitted to state facilities: Today's Center Today’s Center is one of 39 community MHMR centers in the State. It continues to offer substance abuse recovery services under the auspices of TCADA. Among the Center’s many services and programs are day activity programs, coordination of services and employment assistance for individuals with mental retardation and mental illness. There are several programs for individuals diagnosed with mental retardation and mental health issues (dual diagnosis), a transitional and permanent housing program for homeless individuals with mental illness, and HIV outreach services in Galveston and Brazoria Counties. The Center continues to provide treatment for individuals within their community while minimizing the number (131 adults) admitted to state facilities. The Center celebrates 37 years of service in 2007 and continues to support and serve the citizens of Galveston and Brazoria Counties. Although the programs and services offered by the Center have changed through the years, much progress has been made toward enabling and empowering individuals and their families to live quality lives.
